PILC and SEITE 2026 combines a conference, a professional internship, panel discussions, hands-on trainings and international networking. Participants take part in the full programme — as attendees and as panel contributors.
180-hour internship
An international internship of 180 hours / 6 ECTS credits with an internationally recognised certificate for your professional portfolio and attestation.
Panel discussions
Joint PILC panels and thematic SEITE panels — leadership, AI after the EU AI Act, cybersecurity, human rights in a digital society. With professional interpretation.
Trainings & networking
Practical trainings in grant writing and project proposals, meeting EU colleagues, sharing experience and building new partnerships.

Once a participant's fee is received, a place is guaranteed, travel tickets are purchased and an official invitation is prepared. The number of places in the group is limited.

Conference days (25–26 September) take place at PAR University of Applied Sciences in Rijeka. Accommodation and the internship — Hotel Materada*** Plava Laguna in Poreč, first line by the sea. The cities are ~90 km apart; transfer on conference days is provided by the organizers.

Participation is possible both with and without submitting materials for publication. Two publication formats are offered.
Conference Proceedings — ESS Press
Accepted abstracts are published in the ESS Press conference proceedings free of charge (subject to editorial requirements): DOI assignment, technical preparation, editorial processing and international publishing standards.
Indexed Springer volume
Joint preparation of a selection of the best papers for submission to Springer. Manuscript preparation and submission are free of charge. This format does not guarantee automatic acceptance or Scopus indexing — the final decision rests with Springer. Checked via Crossref (iThenticate).
